Project Cicero Update

Project Cicero concluded last week and was a huge success! The media center’s initial goal was to collect 800 books, but after four weeks, Lewis F. Cole students and faculty amassed over 1,500 new and gently used books. This is an accomplishment we can all be proud of. The following homerooms had 100% participation, with each student bringing in at least one book:

  • Homeroom 179, led by Mrs. Wiederholz & Mr. Sidorsky
  • Homeroom 107, led by Ms. Yoon & Mrs. Callahan
  • Homeroom 117, led by Mrs. Ortega & Mrs. Delserro
  • Homeroom 119, led by Mrs. Francisco & Ms. Vargas
  • Homeroom Art led by Mrs. Anderson & Mr. Adams

The 7th and 8th grade homerooms which brought in the most books were:

  • 7th Grade Homeroom 117, led by Mrs. Ortega & Ms. Delserro, collected 415 books.
  • 8th Grade Homeroom Art, led by Mrs. Anderson & Mr. Adams, collected 342 books.

Thank you to everyone who participated in Project Cicero. As a result of our efforts, this past 400 teachers from various New Jersey schools had the opportunity to select books for their classrooms and libraries.
